My name is Julia - Sileas (she-liss) is my name in gaelic. Hailing from the Western Isles of Scotland- it fits perfectly.
My business for the last 14 years was in hair extensions and in the last 5 I have also worked in make-up artistry. Both of these services have suffered in the last two years which lead me to diversify into fashion.
I have an HND in retail management and have always enjoyed clothes. I converted my loft during lockdown and in November 2020 I started a style gift boxing idea. That was great and the response was lovely but then people just simply wanted to purchase the clothes. One rail turned into 6 and in April 2021 the boutique opened its doors!
One year on and the website launched. The shop has organically grown into a really beautiful space filled with hand picked fashion from all over Europe. I tend to purchase in small batches and turn things round more regularly.
This allows for a much more exclusive feel. I have built fantastic relationships with my suppliers and most are smaller brands, family run and lots of them use recycled materials and have a strong focus on sustainability.
I also travel to Uist and do a pop up shop. I have a make-up bar in the shop too. Every weekend is filled with glamour and you can even sit on the decking outside, enjoy a coffee and watch the beautiful world go by.
All orders are so greatly appreciated and I will continue to seek out exciting fashion from a wonderful array of designers. There are lots of plans for the future and they are only made possible with your incredible support.

*UPDATE 7.1.2023
The decision has been made to close the doors of the shop and focus completely on line. At this moment maybe due to a change in shopping patterns, a physical shop is simply not working. Time to take stock, sit tight and see what doors open next. Thank you for everything !
